 I am interested and enjoy working with a variety of subject matter, but lately my focus has been cityscapes. I work mainly in acrylic paints but in many of my paintings, I incorporate the use of collage to create texture and depth to the surface. The collage materials consist of magazine clippings and/or other special materials such as fabric or textured/treated paper. Using only colors that harmonize and closely match with those in the paintings, these clippings add texture, depth, and a third-dimensionality to the canvas surface.
I enjoy making artwork of the subjects in life that I feel deserve attention, that there is beauty in everyday life from grand and complex landscapes and cityscapes, to the simple and plain portraits and still life.
