Barack Obama has officially announced that he'll be entering the race for the President of the United States and on February he will be make it official.
I know what's on everyone's mind, does a black man actually stand a chance at winning? I think so, especially since it doesn't hurt to have a mother who's white.
But of course none of that should matter (even though it does) because judging alone from his speech about him running for Presidency, his leaps way beyond charismatically of any Bush's speech, which isn't saying much, because truthfully a 10-year-old kid could probably stand in front of a mic and deliver a more compelling State of the Union Address.
I know in the past I was a raging Republic following blindly into Bush's so called war. But enough is enough. I haven't been listening to that man for years now - he's a disillusion, demented man consumed by power.
All we need now, more than ever, is a seemingly level-headed guy like Obama.
Needless to say, this expansion is nothing short of amazing. So much new content to explore, so many new quests to complete, and 2 new races to level with. It's going to be one very exciting new year of really no life to speak of.
Now that we've had a few days to calm down and sit back in our chairs we can examine the iPhone and see if it's all that (and a bag of chips).
David Pogue of the NY Times put up a nice little FAQ about the iPhone that's quite the eye opener. Did you know the thing won't sync with Outlook? If Apple really wants to make some serious dough, they'll have to make it more compatible with PC users, just like they did with iTunes.
Also, since there's no buttons so I can't use it with one hand, like I do when driving (I know I shouldn't, but suck it).
And how about that price? The 4gb for $500 and 8gb for $600. It's definitely not for everyone, but as for me - where do I sign?
General Motors has really come a long way since they were knocked down by Japanese car manufacturers in the 80's and 90's. GM went from being top dog to an under dog and now hopefully crawling its way back up. If this photo of the interior of the new 2008 Cadillac CTS is indicative of where GM is going, then things are looking bright.
Although there are Japanese cars out there that are not only better built, but better designed inside and out, this is the best GM has done in a long time. My hope is that by the year 2010, when I'll be in the market for a new car, I'll actually take a trip to my local GM dealer and with the way things are looking, I may actually buy one.
Tonight I saw quite possibly one of the best films of all time, Pan's Labyrinth. Its extraordinary imaginative visuals are unlike anything seen before. The complex story with twists and turns that goes from one dead end to another is in touch with the film's title, a labyrinth.
This is not a children's film. I repeat, this is NOT a children's film. The gruesome acts of brutal savagery is shown, there is no camera panning away before a bottle to the face like you'd expect. Everything is shown and nothing is censored.
Guillermo Del Toro was successful in creating one of the most imaginative films that took myself on an emotional roller coster and left me in awe and sadness. All films should look to this one, for its sheer quality and unrelentless visual beauty.
The new year is well on its course and videos like this Kodak one remind us of the good ol' days of 35-mm film and what Kodak use to be like. It also reminds me of the movie, Network.
