Tonight I saw quite possibly one of the best films of all time, Pan's Labyrinth. Its extraordinary imaginative visuals are unlike anything seen before. The complex story with twists and turns that goes from one dead end to another is in touch with the film's title, a labyrinth.

This is not a children's film. I repeat, this is NOT a children's film. The gruesome acts of brutal savagery is shown, there is no camera panning away before a bottle to the face like you'd expect. Everything is shown and nothing is censored.
Guillermo Del Toro was successful in creating one of the most imaginative films that took myself on an emotional roller coster and left me in awe and sadness. All films should look to this one, for its sheer quality and unrelentless visual beauty.
