The (new) Shuffle, sucks

The redesigned iPod Shuffle is due to come out any day now (was announced about a month ago) and I already give it a thumbs down.
The previous generation had a built in USB, which doubled the Shuffle as a flash drive and an MP3 player. This new design has no USB, is much smaller (so you'll probably lose it), and still has no LED display.
The new Shuffle is anything but new.

Heroes on NBC

I'm not ashamed to say, I'm addicted to the NBC show Heroes. What's not to like? We've all wished we had some sort of super powers in one point in our lives, with this show at least we can live vicariously through the characters.

I've seen the past four episodes and progressively they have gotten better. More action, more mystery, and more sex, well sort of. One of the heroes is this hot chick, a pseudo hulk who in anger transforms into, really nothing, but starts to kick butt left and right.
Oddly enough another hero, a Japanese office jock who can bend space and time is my favorite hero. Mainly because of his powers, but also because of his utter ignorance.
And although I must admit the acting is a bit hokie and sometimes the story drags, in the end it has a way of gripping you just as it leads up to their cliffhanger.
Anyhow, good show if you can catch it, and if you're willing to put up with the choppy and poor quality video of the show on NBC's site, by all means.

AIM on a diet

Do you use AIM? Sure you do, everyone does, unless of course you have no friends, in which case you'll need AIM.
But using AIM isn't always a pleasant journey, there's always annoying pop-up ads and trailers that go on at random making you think you have a ghost living in your computer.
So, I came across a lite version of AIM, AIM ET. Download and install it. You can thank me later.

New blog, sooner than later, probably the latter

I've been doing some pondering on whether or not to change this blog into just my portfolio site to display my many (or lack there of) graphics work. So next time at a job interview I can show the employer something more professional than these random inane ramblings.
I already bought a new domain name where I will host my official blog, I just need to design it, etc. Look forward to something new. Soon.

OC Auto Show 2006

Went over to the Orange County Auto Show last weekend to hopefully get a glimpse of the upcoming Chevy Camaro, instead I just got a flimsy poster. They did however have the Dodge Challenger spinning on the huge turn-table with a pretty girl talking about it, so it wasn't a complete loss.

300 Trailer

The official 300 trailer is finally available for everyone's enjoyment. There was a leaked trailer out last week, but Warner Bros. used their muscle and made all the sites take it down.
The movie is based on Frank Miller's graphic novel and from the trailer, the movie looks nothing short of amazing.
(Also, the music in the trailer is NIN.)

PS3, "heavy like a planet"

Some lucky SOBs got their hands on the PS3 - the real thing in all its reported glory. All the speculations about the system can be put aside. It works, it's fast, and it's allegedly amazing.
PSM3 reports that it runs ultra quiet, "heavy like a planet" and super fast.
From the pics on their site the menu looks identical to the PSP's and screen shots of some of the games look amazing.
Now the rest of us will have to wait some more to get our greasy paws on it. Mmmmm....
