You can't park, but your car can

Finally, we can do away with all the hardships of parking a car and let the car do it itself!
The system will help guide you into the space by turning the steering wheel and talk you through it, poor baby.
Lexus will also offer this feature in their new 2007 flagship, LS 460.
Some 60 percent of customers of the new technology are expected to be women, with beginner drivers also a target market, Honda Motor Co. said.
Helped by a marker on the passenger's seat, drivers using the system will need to line up with the car behind the space where they want to park.
By pressing a button, the car will move forward automatically and put the steering wheel in position to start backing up, with an automated voice offering directions.
"Of course, the system won't allow the driver to just sit back and have the car do the complete operation, but at least he won't have to twist his neck to look behind like he used to in the past," company spokesman Sakae Uruma said.
"This is a very simple system based on computerized information, and doesn't use anything complicated like a camera to measure the amount of free space left as the driver parks his car," Uruma added.
The system will be part of Honda's revamped Life mini-vehicle out in stores on October 5. The parking device on its own is priced at 52,500 yen (450 dollars).

Nintendo Wii is now set to launch on November 19, just two days after the release of the PS3. Wii being the only video game console to turn out a profit at $250 and include a video game to top it off - it will be a strong contender to the PS3.

Impulse Buy
|
|
 |
| |
Last night I made an impulse purchase - the Apple MacBook Pro. I needed a laptop for work and it was a toss-up between the MacBook and MacBook Pro. I opted for the larger screen (15.4") with the MacBook Pro since on occasion I do deal with large graphics.
From using a PowerMac G5 desktop a year ago, this laptop is a complete 180. The sluggishness from OSX is virtually gone and the candy-like interface isn't so harsh on the eye anymore.
My goal now is to upgrade the memory on the thing - the Apple store charges $300 to add a gig of ram, whereas if I do it myself, it will cost me about a hundred.

Wii on the way

The wheels are finally moving forward on Nintendo Wii, with IBM already shipping out their chips (the brains) to be used in the Wii. - Source
This news makes me happy, especially after yesterday's announcement about the PS3 and their cut back on shipment from 4 million to 2 million on launch day. But just so you know, I don't plan on purchasing the PS3 for myself, and if I do, it will only be to turn around and sell it on eBay for as much as 4x the price.
The Wii just seems to be the leading console for me, since it will truly offer next-gen gaming and nostalgic characters that non of us can ever get sick of.
