Windows Vista: Unvailed

Nevermind that I haven't been posting for some time now. Instead I would like to direct your attention to the upcoming version of Windows (Vista). With graphics analogies to that of the Mac OS X, but versions varying in content and design, it'll get quite the rants and raves. Already numerous users of the beta have complained of the speed (or lack there of) because it now runs under a 64-bit architecture and many say it'll be their down fall, much like Mac OS X and its sluggish performance.
Personally I'll probably continue to use my current version of Windows XP, unless of course games start requiring Vista. Otherwise I don't really see a reason to switch. At least not in the immediate future.
For one, there will be six different versions of Vista. A few for home users and the rest for business application. They'll surely vary in price, but then again why would anyone in their right mind buy the OS. (Pirates o' hoy!) Another concern of mine is, will it have the option of removing all the candy like images and reverting back to the good ol' days of the charming, yet simple Windows 98 attire? Probably not.

Beer is a good thing

There's something to be said about reading the works of Plato when drunk. I truly don't believe I could have comprehended it any other way, but then again I never read it sober, so who knows.
My new favorite beer of choice you might wonder? Stella Artois. Mmmmm. It's especially good when watching the Olympics. Which brings me to another point. Does anyone out there still watch the Olympics, or has it become the least watched sports event of all time?
But I digress.
Dark beer is good, but only in small amounts. Lager beer or in other words lighter beer is much easier to take down in large amounts. I find drinking 10 lager beers is much easier than drinking about 3 dark beers (ie Guinness).
So in ending, beer rules.

Since my current flip-flop phone from Verizon literally broke in half I had go out and get a new one. I opted for the Sprint Samsung A900 AKA the Blade! With the same thin design as the RAZR, the Blade not only out performs but also delivers. Regardless of what was said about Sprint service, I couldn't be more pleased. It works everywhere, in my home, under ground garage, at the office and even in classrooms.
But service isn't everything, the phone it self is remarkable. With unbelievable speed and features I couldn't imagine getting a new phone for a long time. The 1.3MP camera is nice and total voice recognition is flawless. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

Who would have thought the day would come when none-English-speaking-red-vested-guys would be replaced by girls in bikinis. Well it certainly has come and here in Los Angeles beautiful girls are parking your car and all I can say is, finally.
But be mindful, don't expect to get the same kind of service if you drive a cheap-o car and be expected to tip as high as $400 or so I hear...
I only wonder if they have less attractive girls parking cheaper cars and vice versa, because after all this is Los Angeles and image is everything.

Super Bowl Whatever

Did you watch the big game? I didn't. Well that's not true. I did watch about an hour of it, but even then I was busy reading a book and drinking a beer. Who watches the Super Bowl for the game anyway and not just for the commercials (which weren't that great)?
Even die-hard-fans didn't watch the game and explained to me that it would have jinxed the game if they did.
I just don't get the impression that as many people watch the Bowl as they use to. But without any hard numbers I can't really make a good assessment. All I know is only one person at my job saw the game and he's the sports editor.

Kids and GTA

Raising a kid must really be something. Now a days it seems any blog you visit has photos of a blogger's new born child. Some day I hope to have a kid of my own, but who knows when that will happen.
Plus what kind of father would I make anyway? I'd probably play more video games than the little one.
It'll be interesting to raise a kid by way of video games for that matter. Because you know you can learn a lot from video games, I know I did from Grand Theft Auto.
Like, avoid shooting people around cops and if you're going to pick up a hooker, take them to a grassy area for some sweet action.
