Last night I made an impulse purchase - the Apple MacBook Pro. I needed a laptop for work and it was a toss-up between the MacBook and MacBook Pro. I opted for the larger screen (15.4") with the MacBook Pro since on occasion I do deal with large graphics. From using a PowerMac G5 desktop a year ago, this laptop is a complete 180. The sluggishness from OSX is virtually gone and the candy-like interface isn't so harsh on the eye anymore.
My goal now is to upgrade the memory on the thing - the Apple store charges $300 to add a gig of ram, whereas if I do it myself, it will cost me about a hundred.
