I haven't posted anything new here because of the ridiculous heat we've been having. It's so damn hot that I can't muster up enough enthusiasm to do anything.
You see, I live in the San Fernando Valley, which is basically on the outskirts of Los Angeles surrounded by mountains. In the winter it gets about 10 degrees cooler because the mountains block out the heat produced by Los Angeles traffic and whatnot. But, in the summer the mountains trap the heat making it about 10 degrees hotter. I know what you might think. Ten degrees isn't anything to fuss over, you probably can't even feel it. Well you don't know what you're talking about, because it does make quite a difference between 95F and 105F and if that's not enough, the compounding humidity just makes the San Fernando Valley the true hell that it is.
So why live here? Simple. Less traffic and congestion, but as a trade off we get a lot more heat. So any way you look at it, I'm screwed.....and hot.
