Windows Vista: Unvailed
Monday, February 27, 2006

Nevermind that I haven't been posting for some time now. Instead I would like to direct your attention to the upcoming version of Windows (Vista). With graphics analogies to that of the Mac OS X, but versions varying in content and design, it'll get quite the rants and raves. Already numerous users of the beta have complained of the speed (or lack there of) because it now runs under a 64-bit architecture and many say it'll be their down fall, much like Mac OS X and its sluggish performance.

Personally I'll probably continue to use my current version of Windows XP, unless of course games start requiring Vista. Otherwise I don't really see a reason to switch. At least not in the immediate future.

For one, there will be six different versions of Vista. A few for home users and the rest for business application. They'll surely vary in price, but then again why would anyone in their right mind buy the OS. (Pirates o' hoy!) Another concern of mine is, will it have the option of removing all the candy like images and reverting back to the good ol' days of the charming, yet simple Windows 98 attire? Probably not.
