Playing the Angel, Finally Released!
Monday, October 17, 2005

Depeche Mode's new album, Playing the Angel will be released bright and early tomorrow. I of course already have my copy pre-ordered on Itunes and have acquired it by means I rather not mention two weeks ago.

The CD contains incredible songs that are reminiscent of their older music that date back to the 80s. I highly urge each and everyone of you to go out and purchase the new album tomorrow, or in the very least pirate it.

I can't wait to see them live in concert in November!

Richard!

Long live Depeche Mode. I am very excited about this new album.

Also, please read this article that Miers supports banning abortion:

P.S. Did you get my email about choosing a housewarming party gift?

Richard,

It is my belief that Proposition 73 is attempting to overturn Roe vs Wade by re-writting the definition of the term "abortion". Please dedicate a new section of your website to address Prop. 73.

I believe that the actual text in the bill will help illuminate. It expands the existing definition of abortion to redefine a life as starting at the moment of conception:

Prop. 73 - "Abortion" means the use of any means to terminate the pregnancy of an unemancipated minor female known to be pregnant with knowledge that the termination with those means will, with reasonable likelihood, cause the death of the unborn child, a child conceived but not yet born.

I found 4 separate definitions of abortion online. The current definition of abortion does not mention "cause the death of the unborn child":

1) 'Abortion' means the termination of human pregnancy with an intention other than to produce a live birth or to remove a dead fetus.

(Roe vs Wade, 1973)

2) The term "abortion" actually refers to any premature expulsion of a human fetus, whether naturally spontaneous, as in a miscarriage, or artificially induced, as in a surgical or chemical abortion.

3) Deliberate ending of a pregnancy by medical intervention. (But medical personnel will also use this term for a miscarriage, which is involuntary, calling it a "spontaneous abortion.").

(Biology-text.com)

4) In medicine, an abortion is the premature exit of the products of conception (the fetus, fetal membranes, and placenta) from the uterus. It is the loss of a pregnancy and does not refer to why that pregnancy was lost.
